Verner Panton was the most remarkable innovative talent of 20th Century design and architecture. Verner Panton's design was consistently brilliant. Verner Panton was first to create inflatable furniture, pioneered with the much acclaimed single molded plastic Panton chair and refused to accept gravity by creating the Flying Chair. Verner Panton envisioned a colorful and happy future. The career of Verner Panton was highlighted by the Fantasy landscapes he created for Bayer in 1968 and 1970 (Dralon & Visiona II) that have now achieved cult status. Verner Panton was not obstructed by limitations that adults incur throughout life. Instead, he thought and created with the imaginary vision of a child, in bold beautiful colors and shapes.
